I was already pretty humble about sword fighting, having literally zero long sword experience but today made sure!
My local club didn’t have any jackets or pants that fir Me so I bit the bullet and ordered a full kit from Woodenswords.com. It arrived today with enough time for me to try it on before heading to the open sparring session tonight.
It didn’t fit. The jacket was very slightly too small. I was pretty bummed but also glad to tried it on at home. Not sure my ego could’ve handled it. I’ve already made peace with being the oldest and largest and newest person but not being able to zip my jacket might have been a bridge too far.
I worked out at home and will be in the Meyer-based instructional class tomorrow. If I work very hard this week perhaps I will be ready for next week. :-)
